Tipping In Argentina is becoming more common as more visitors come to the country. Argentina is home of great wine and beautiful landscapes to explore. Taxis: Tipping a taxi driver isn’t expected unless they were to help you with your bags. If that is the case then a few coins or rounding up is appropriate.
Hotels: If the bell boy was to handle your baggage then you should give him about 2 pesos a bag. At a high end hotel the maid will expect a peso or two a night as well.
Restaurants: If service isn’t on the bill then you should tip 10% of the total.
Bars: Tipping in bars is becoming more common. You may see a tip jar for small coins, but if you don’t then you should hand the tip directly to the bar tender and not leave it on the counter.
Other: Tipping about 15-20% in spas is common as well. Also you should tip any bag handler. The smaller bills are fine, but you want to trust them with your bags so a small amount goes a long way.
