Tipping In Bermuda

Bermuda is famous for much more then the Bermuda Triangle! Or is it?!? Either way, thousands of travels flock to Bermuda to lay on the beach and enjoy the beautiful weather. Divided into 9 parishes there is something for everyone at each one. Tipping is fairly common so use our guide below to figure out when you should tip while traveling around Bermuda!

Tipping In Taxis Taxis: Tipping a taxi driver is common. You should aim to tip about 10% of the fare.

 

Tipping In Hotels Hotels: A service charge may be included. If not then you should tip the bell boy $1 per bag for bringing your bags up to your room. You should also tip the maid $1-2 a night for cleaning the room.

 

Tipping In Restaurants Restaurants: Some bills will include a 15% service charge. You should check for this and if its included then you don’t need to tip any extra.

 

Tipping In Bars Bars: Check for a service charge, if its not included then tip 10% of the bill.

 

Other Places To Tip Other: If you are taking a cruise you will likely pre pay a tip before hand. You should check your receipts so you don’t over tip on your whole cruise trip!
