The Bahamas is a popular island destination for many American travelers. The islands have so much to offer for every type of traveler. Tipping is fairly common so use our guide below to figure out when you should tip while traveling around The Bahamas!
Taxis: Tipping a taxi driver is common. You should aim to tip about 10% of the fare.
Hotels: You should tip the bell boy $1 per bag for bringing your bags up to your room. You should also tip the maid $1-2 a night for cleaning the room.
Restaurants: Majority of bills will include a 15% service charge. You should check for this and if its included then you don’t need to tip any extra.
Bars: Check for a service charge, if its not included then tip 10% of the bill.
Other: Tipping is pretty common in the Bahamas, however don’t expect to tip other then what we mentioned!
